Another 100 plus pounder gone. Kenya the wildlife basket caseof conservation instead of a paradise.
But don't worry Leakey was jubilant, that there stunts of burning ivory worked again. Because of the several hundred thousand dollar cheques received from "conservation" organisations and gov'ts afterwards. Where wildlife conservation can be measured both in its evitable annihilation, and also in the $$$ of aid the poaching succeeds in sucking in ....

When I was over there a month or so ago the outfitter showed me a what they had taken from poachers they had caught over the years..wish I had taken a picture of it..amazing the shit they use to try to kill them..all the way from old muskets to poison arrows....
Not sure if they is done out of greed, necessity, or otherwise but the poacher..either way it's a true tragedy to see this old fella gone..

Probably starts as necessity(or perceived necessity)-poor people who need money and see a way to get it, then the greed kicks in.
