I've actually shot two but only have one set of horns. PH stole the horns from one of them. Anyway, here is the one I got. Shot in KZN with a .375H&H, this bull was in full rut. I've had some taxidermist issues and have seized the trophy from two other shops and six weeks ago got it to Dennis Harris at the Artistry of Wildlife. He just finished the mount: This is the first one I shot years ago. PH claimed it measured 28 inches which it clearly didn't. He took the horns for what ever reason. |

Really nice animals, Ann. Well-done. You sure have had some dramas with the nyala. |

Ann That has to be one of the best Nyala pedestal mounts I have ever seen. Fantastic. Never hunted myala, but did get some great photos of them in 1988 in Zimbabwe, except my camera broke, and an idiot at home when taking it to get fixed just opened the back thereby exposing the nyala photos. Did get one out of it OK. I had been thinking a specific nyala hunt might be on the cards one day. Perhaps a combined bushpig and nyala hunt in Natal might work out? Congratulations on a very beautiful mount and trophy. |

John, plan to add common reedbuck and red duiker, there are very nice ones to be had in Natal in the same areas as nyala and bushpig. Here's a nice on the hoof nyala bull. |

Took this one in 2010 in the Eastern Cape. The only one I saw, I had nothing to compare him to, the PH said he was ok and that we might be able to do better but to me he's magnificent. I think I'm getting the hang of this picture posting thing, not sure why it took me so long to figure out. |

He's a beauty!! If you have to measure a trophy with a tape measure it's time to stop hunting |

Hunted this Nyala last year with my Blaser R93 416 Rem Mag. Made it into the Book - 27.5"... Best of all was, that I only had to drive 15 minutes from my doorstep to go and hunt him, tough living in Africa |

Some good nyalas added to the thread. Thanks. Nyala is definitely a priority when I return for a safari if I hunt in the right areas for them. |
