Buy or not to buy, thatīs a question.. :)

Finnish gundealer sells this norwegian m1912 Krag Jörgensen rifle. Itīs original caliber has been 6,5x55 but someone has converted it to 7x57.

I can't imagine a single reason *not* to buy it.
You bought it, didn't you?

looking to the iron sights it may be sporterrize by a finnish gunmaker. wonder why it was not rechambered for the 7x54 Lapua instead of the 7x57 because this is simply a necked up 6,5x55. could be a leftover from the Reichsarbeitsdienst who got this rifle for self defence on the eastern front.

Yes, seems that rear sight is original but front sight looks very much like older Sako -style.
Itīs funny but these norwegian rifles are quite rare in Finland. Arisakas, for example, are much more common but for that fact there is good historical reasons.
And no, I havenīt bought this rifle.

Is it possible this is a simply re-bore, rifle and chamber, thus would have an oversize base in the chamber?

G'Day Fella's,
Igorrock, I worked out a long time ago, if you want something, and you have the Cash to spare, the worse thing you can say in life, is "Gee I Wish"!
