Re: SOME of the most beautiful and extravagant firearms

Works for me.

I had a quick scan. Will have a goof look at the list and sites later. Hopefully will provide a good source of material for NE.

Lots missing from that list however.

The article seems to be another list article. I was expecting to see dozens of fine firearms, not a list of makers.

Thanks for posting it as it will be interesting to go through.

Some nice guns there, for sure.
The Chamois video at the bottom of the page is pretty good.

Re: SOME of the most beautiful and extravagant firearms

It would almost be a shame to use this weapon practically in the African bush or in the jungles of South or Southeast Asia. However, it suits a certain taste among some Maharaja's of India.

I saw a similar DR caliber 600 Nitro Express years ago that was used by its owner for hunting in India, despite beautiful engravings. You could clearly see that it was used.

The Maharaja's of India were big buyers of DR caliber 600 Nitro Express, especially as a prestige object, but not only as you could see. Not very many DR caliber 600 Nitro Express were built and used, but where they all are is nowadays not clear. It is assumed that many are in India. What happened to them after the weapons ban is questionable.
