Ruger should have offered those when they first brought out the long action of the RPC. Maybe they were thinking like Apple when they first released the iPad without a camera....Maybe the 338 Norma next? |

But its not an AR15! (only stirring ) What about the Ruger 15? |

I could "see" a rifle like that in a long range calibre- capable of precision shooting to 1,500-2,000meters or so. Of course, our range is only 1,400 meters. (1,531 yds). |

Quote: I really am NOT a big fan of Ruger..sorry..purchased several of their cf back in the late 80's and early 90's when they had a reputation for poor barrels.. well, I got several of them.. they sucked..so, once bitten twice shy.. I do have several 10-22's that have been upgraded to the point they barely look like a 10-22--custom barrels, stock, triggers, etc.. but they are very accurate.. Have a few Ruger handguns, revolvers mainly... along with a couple "full" semi-auto rimfires.. As fate would have it, I did stumble into a nest of HK-91's over the weekend... a clients husband died, she wants to sell them... so, 1 or 2 may have taken up residence in my home.. Only one was original, the other 2 were a combo of HK and other parts... |

I actually picked this guy up yesterday..was on the shelf literally about 30 minutes before I walked in.. a little different than the drilling , but for me, incredible cool factor in a very fun, let her walk type of caliber....6.5 PRC Can not wait to get a scope on this and take it to the long distance range.. will be my summer toy.. well, at least one of them.. Bought one of the Ruger precision rim fire in 22 mag about a month ago. Its fun to shoot but I had to send it back. Accuracy was sub standard and it copper fowled the barrel in about two rounds. They returned it in about 10 days with a letter saying they re-crowned the barrel and replaced the bolt. Yea the last part left me scratching my head but there is a big improvement in how it shoots. Did a trigger job on there adjustable trigger yesterday. Will try it out again in a couple of days. |

I see Remington has released a PRC in 308, 260 Rem and 6.5Creed. The test rifle in 6.5C grouped from just under an inch to 1.3" with various factory ammo. To me that is woeful accuracy for a PRC. |

Quote: Agreed... and IMHO, Remington's best days at this stage have come and gone.. 1-1..3 in a PR is pathetic in today's world... |
