Team, "a while ago" Ruger made a lightweight rifle in M77. It had a much thinner 22" barrel and consequently was much lighter than the standard M77. Does anyone know what they were actually called? What was their Ruger designated name? IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE NEW ONES WITH THE SHORT BARREL Why do I ask? because I want one in 30:06 because Im getting to old to carry my SAKO Cheers and thanks in advance Bidyanus |

About 30 years ago they made an "Ultralight". Possibly an RLS Model. A buddy had one in 243. A lot skinnier than a normal M77. About 6 lbs. |

A mate has a M77 Ultralight in .308 and loves it. Having used it I understand why. I have tried to buy it off him several times but he refuses to weaken and sell it to me. |
