I'd agree.

I have rifles in 3 of the 5.

Re: The Best of British Magazine Rifle Cartridges

Mine are the 300H&H, the 375H&H and the 404 Jeffery. All Mausers.

Because I have a 404 I really have no desire personally for the 416 Rigby, but I respect it a lot.
I have made a few of them.

My all time favorite 416 however is not British. It's the 416 Taylor.
It does the same job as the 416 Rigby, but because I can use a GEW Mauser instead of a Magnum Length action, I can build a nicer rifle for a given budget with the Taylor then I can with the Rigby and I have no loss of utility. A .416" bullet of 400 grains at 2350 to 2400 is fine for any big game I would ever shoot with some power left over.

I load my 404 Jeffery to 2300 FPS with 400 gr bullets and it's also just fine for everything I'd ever need. In fact, I actually don't need the 404. I just like it.

I REALLY like my 375, so much in fact that I am on the 2nd barrel.
I shot the throat out of the 1st one.
