Schmidt Rubin 1889 [Tarzan]

Cleaver firearms have some of these the rifles [like the ones used in the latest Tarzan Movie] they are in very good condition ,rated as an Antique so you dont need a licence to buy one ,well made ,those Swiss must take good care of their rifles !

They are all listed at $950. Seems expensive?

A good number of them, sell off after making the movie perhaps? Was the Tarzan movie made partly in Aust. don't know?

Swiss 1889 rifles go for about $350 USD here in the states.

That would be about $462.00 Australian ,you dont need a PTA to buy one ,and they are in very good condition ,considering how old they are ,must have been ''State of the Art'' in their time ,used a lead bullet with a steel sleeve i believe that was also paper patched 7.7 x 53.5 ,you cant buy any commercial ammo for them however .

Re: Schmidt Rubin 1889 [Tarzan]

They are considered as antiques in the US also. Available through many surplus dealers, shipped directly to you home.
They are great cast bullet rifles. Very accurate just like the more modern counterparts.
DO NOT use GP11, factory 7.5 Swiss or handloads that are listed in loading manuals.
Cases can be easily made by trimming standard 7.5x55 cases to 53.5mm long.
