Browning X-Bolt

Have any of you tried one of these? How do you like it? What is the difference between the Hunter and Medalion? It looks odd in the pictures on the Browning web site; is it handsome in person?

Re: Browning X-Bolt

The difference between the Hunter and the Medallion is purely cosmetic. Gloss bluing, glossy finish on the stock, and a rosewood fore-end tip. All very well done. The Hunter model uses a matte finish on the metalwork and wood. The checkering is first rate.

These guns are light. In a heavy kicker control might be an issue. Unlike Brownings from the past, they actually put a very good recoil pad on them. In calibers up to 7mm magnum, I think you will have a very good hunting rifle that is easy to haul around. Calibers in the .300 and .338 club might be for seasoned shooters only.
