For some strange reason, I have begun to get the following error message when starting Outlook. Which thus refuses to start: "Failed to load resources from resource file. Please check your Setup." I've tried reinstalling Outlook from the CD, but this doesn't help... Any ideas would be appreciated. Erik |

ErikD, Have you searched the Microsoft knowledge base on their website? I don't know zip about software, but I have found some answers there. Curl |

I had a problem like that and it related to the IMAP setup which I used to view emails on the email server. I ended up re-creating a new IMAP account on Outlook for the same email address. I think this was where it occurred but may be completely wrong ????? |

I found this on a site by Google searching your error. "I found that DotNetWindows VAT (Vulnerability Assessment Test) from nVision Software Technologies was installed. I've uninstalled it but the same error still occurred. I found that even after uninstall folder C:\WINDOWS\NVisionInstrumentationConfig still existed and dnvexceptionhandler.dll was still loaded by w3wp.exe. Only when I manually renamed C:\WINDOWS\NVisionInstrumentationConfig folder , the error disappeared." Hope it helps -Josh |

I dont use Explorer or Outlook, anymore, i use Mozilla and their program , they are better and safer than Microsoft . |

Mozilla, better maybe, but safer, I don't think so. There are none of them that you can call safe. They are all being hacked. More people use Microsoft than Mozilla, for that reason more hackers attack Microsoft than Mozilla. Also for that reason you have more people working to protect protect Microsoft. You have a greater chance of getting a hack-virus or what ever fixed fast with a Microsoft attack than you are with a Mozilla browser. Mozilla may be better, but IE isn't bad. But Mozilla is just as vulnerable to attack. |
