Anyone having trouble logging in?

This is a message to help to ensure the site works efficiently ie de-bugging any problems.

Is anyone having trouble when clicking on the "Log in" button on the top menu? In particular getting the "your passowrd is incorrect .... taking you back" screen.
And it never takes you back.

I was using Internet Explorer on a different PC from usual and found the log in screen unreliable, with it bringing the above message screen BEFORE I even tried to log-in.

If anyone is having similar problems, please respond so I can track down the problem, to the programme, PC, internet browser etc.

Thanks

Re: Anyone having trouble logging in?

Well, old thread or not, this looks like the right place to post this:

I'm having trouble logging in using Firefox. Clicking the login button just takes me to my homepage, but continues to tell me that I'm not logged in. I'm logged in on IE right now and it seems to work just fine.

Re: Anyone having trouble logging in?

I use firefox and it seems to work OK.

What might help is to flush out your cache. Also delete the history.

Tools Options Privacy Clear your recent history - Cookies etc.

The cookie used by NE on your PC to identify you might be corrupted or whatever, and need replacing. Clearing it, then re-logging in will replace it. Cookies can all be deleted or individual ones.

That may help.

Also shutting down and re-starting a PC often helps with all sorts of problems. Simple but true.

Let me know if it does not improve after a day or two.

Re: Anyone having trouble logging in?

I had Nitroexpress for my internet log-in on both my Microsoft and Firefox browsers. Neither would connect this morning- thought something had screwed up with my new computer- but finally changed log-on sight to another and it worked. Now, 5 hours later, this site is working just fine. Seems a bit slow loading and changing pages, maybe.

Re: Anyone having trouble logging in?

Well, FF worked fine this afternoon when I logged in. It seems like an intermittent issue. I'll try clearing the cache and cookies the next time it acts up and let you know if it changes things. It could also just be the 10 year old, built from parts laptop that I keep in my living room for emailing when I'm relaxing.

It was very slow earlier this evening, but it's been loading fine for at least the past hour or two.
