And how would that be my answer? What other thread would I look in? |

Quote: Didn't you just post TWO posts on this same query? Anyway to cut it short so I can onto real stuff today, I WILL copy and paste from that other thread here: how about some simple and easy information? Like: 1. What search is it that you are doing? ie exactly what you are typing in that box? 2. Using any alias to search the posts of? 3. Any time range? 4. Any specific forums being searched? Just no.1 would probably do it. |

There are no replies on the other post. I type in "404" no alias older than 1 week all forums. it comes up with no matches |

Quote: Very easily answered. I also get no answer. In theory it should select everything from a week ago, to the beginning of the forums. The search function will NOT do that. Usually I use only the NEWER selection. Selecting "NEWER than ONE WEEK" will give you everything from now to a week old. Same for ONE MONTH, up to 15 YEARS. Long searches like 15 years will slow down the forums sometimes. I think t use the "OLDER THAN" function you must use BOTH NEWER THAN and OLDER THAN together. eg NEWER than ONE YEAR and OLDER than ONE MONTH, will in theory show those ELEVEN months results. I get 129 results for "404" using that. eg NEWER than ONE WEEK for "404", I get 14 results. |
