Radioactive boars of Japan

Found this article interesting. Show how hunting is used to control populations of wild animals and and what can happen when it stops.

They could air drop poisoned bait, get hunters to shot as many as possible on the outskirts of the place, then shoot the others as they come to feed on the carcasses. Dig massive big holes just outside radiation area dump carcasses in. Not ideal but better than nothing.

Actually based on the wildlife rebound in the Exclusion Zone of Chernobyl Ukraine, they'll do quite well. From what I've gathered it seems that the animals don't have a long enough lifespan for the radiation to bother very much.
