Break in the weather with a nice sunny day So put in a arvo hunt at a local spot Hadn't gone very far and a meaty broke from a tea tree patch across some bracken. Pulled up at around 40m so settled for a off hand shot. Deer reacted like it was a good shot and took off .
Took up the trail straight away and plenty of blood. 60m and I lost the trail, did some loops and found the deer 10m further on. First with the 308 Used 155 all coppers. Raking shot with the exit just behind the shoulder.
Broke the deer down for a easy carry out
