Re: A big croc reported up north

I heard about this on local ABC radio in Brisbane yesterday. I cant imagine the bulk of a beast like this if the reports are true. The footprints and size of the slide seem proof enough. Lots of folks may not like this but I say leave it alone, stay clear. Not being a local resident orlikely to go fishing up their I probably haveno idea

I take it there's not a lot of water skiing or swimming on/in that river.

Re: A big croc reported up north

15 years ago I had my family up there for a 6 month building job and we met many people with lots of home grown knowledge and one of the local pro fishermen`s wive`s related how she saw a croc on Shelly beach one morning that was many times the size of any croc she had ever seen in her life up there. She carried on how big it was and many considered her to be exaggerating somewhat...big chance its the same croc..15 years on is nothing in croc age.

And Daryl the local #$@# wits do ski in the river.

Funny that out of all those croc shooters, culling thousands of big crocs over all those years and none reported to be over 20 foot. And they expect that suddenly a 25plus footer is going to show up???
