Small Buffalo Bull vs 375 Ruger

On our last trip to the top end we were fortunate enough to do some ballistic testing on a couple of the smaller Buffalo Bulls as the instructions was shoot the lot which we didn't do but we did take 2 small bulls, I decided to take this guy as I had lost a bull the year before to a similar shot angle and had a filming opportunity so took this fella. This was the 375 Ruger running 300gr Barnes TSX doing 2550fps. The 375 Ruger running 300gr Barnes TSX was super impressive with all Buffalo and Scrub bulls going down to single shots from multiple angles, the penetration and wound channel was huge.

Nice shot mate.
That shot is easy to mess up,a little to the right and it is a glorified gut shot and a little to the left and you break the off side shoulder at best.
It did drop him well.

Nice! A spine shot, by the looks. I really like quartering-on shots with buffalo, when enough gun is used. Your .375 Ruger is obviously enough gun! Well-done.
