I have recently bought a H & H rook rifle no 21170. It is a fairly high quality top lever rifle chambered for 297-250 rook (Morris). This rifle has no proof marks! I have been told that it has a Morris tube insert, but can't confirm that yet (I am waiting for my license before I can legally take ownership in S A) There appears to be seem joints at the chamber and muzzle ends, but I am not sure. I am thinking of adding an extra barrel in a more useable caliber but am not sure if the rifle can handle the extra pressure. I have pictures but don't know how to post. If I can mail the pics to someone who can, I'll do so. If anybody has suggestions as what to do with this rifle to make it more useable, I will appreciate it.
