as it were discribed to me the term rook is used on the "toy" guns, the small guns with a weight that small, that it were for women and children. also a rook rifle or shotgun is allmost allways of a lower grade in wood and general metalwork.

if this is uncorrect please inform me, i was given this info from an old hunting mate who been working at h&h for a few years restoring leather cases that came in from costumers.

p.s the chamber walls are quite thick you think it would be painfull with the rifle barrel in 20gx577"

I believe that the word rook means rabbit and or crow. Think also of the word rookery, does that just mean the place for the women and children?
