I'm a Pedersoli fan myself, fit and finish are excellent. Can't really say about EMF. As for calibers, I went the 45-70 route for the more versitle reason, as compared to a 45-120. My brass runs on average $165.00 per 500. The 45-120 will run around $3.00 apiece. There is much more loading data available in the smokeless powder also. Another cartridge I've been giving serious thought to in the Sharps is a 50-140. Some might say that 700gr. bullet would be overkill for deer though. Course I hear that anyway, so I guess it don't matter
