Re: How do you carry your extra ammo for the 2nd shot?

I have a wrist carrier. Made by taking a band of neoprene like material with the ends sewn together. Then 6 holes were punched in 3 pairs so that the cartridges when inserted through both holes are held perpendicular (roughly) to the line of the forearm and across the back of the wrist (where most people wear a watch). Right handed, I feel it is easier to open the action and reload with the right hand while holding the rifle by the forearm with the left hand.

I've tried the rounds between the fingers but it isn't as fast. Fast, however, isn't something I've found necessary to worry about. Since game has yet to organize a human wave attack on my stand, I've not had to worry about rate of fire.

I do often carry another 10 rounds in one of those folding wallets on my belt. Unless I'm hunting groundhogs or other vermin, I've yet found it necessary to dig into it.

Do you have a single shot for the .375 2½"?
