I've limited experience, I grew up hunting with a Savage combo gun (22 and 20 guage) and I just bought a drilling. From my limited experience, I'd say for serious hunting, especially where you are planning to use the shotgun the drilling wins hands down. However, if you had a nice combo gun with a good scope and a useful rifle caliber, and you were not that worried about using the shotgun much, I'd say the combo gun is handier, lighter, and easier to carry. They made great "backpacking" gun to breakdown and throw in a backpack. |
