The only question I'd have would be do you intend to scope the rifle? The older models of Heym and other like mfgs (Merkel, Kreighoff) needed to be set up for scopes at the factory since the normal set up would be claw mounts, hard to get done here and a lot of work. The newer guns are a tad lighter and are designed to have mounts added more easily. If you are planning on using open sights only, then the older model, which appears to be one heck of a good looking rifle, would work for me. Dave |
