In reply to: Those would be $200 wool Filsons, son! ![]() And, being a tall skinny feller, I generally wear 'spenders in the field so my britches don't fall down around my knees just when I'm ready to cap the big one ![]() Seriously, the bibs are my winter wear. Gets cold in Wyoming. In the summer, I use a vest that has numerous pockets, several of which hold large cartridges like they were made for it. I don't know if these are photo vests or what. I pick them up at surplus stores. The vests are inexpensive (imported), so when I damage one in the scrub I'm only out $30-35. One of the most interesting big bore carriers I've ever seen was worn by an old boy who was a mountain man nut. His carrier was a split leather 'necklace' about 2" wide and hung around his neck almost like a scarf. It held 5 or 6 rounds (45-90s), right at his upper chest. An interesting concept. |
