After testing several (5) different .375's and (3) .35's, along with my 9.3x62, I've decided to reduce my loadings (or shorten the chamber to 57mm)) on my .375/06IMP to run factory level 9.3x62 ballistics or there-abouts. The extra 200 or 300fps doesn't seem to amount to anything according to guys who've used them pretty much side by side on the same game in Africa.
: The lighter loads in the 9.3x74 and 9.3x62 are very much more pleasant to shoot, promote more practise and are easier all the way around. With my own self-imposed range limitations, I really don't need 2,550fps with 285gr.Speer bullets or 2,475fps with 300's.
