as of now I just have a box of Federal Classic 270gr "HI-SHOK" Softs (RNs). they were $20 a box less than the next step up, and since I'll likely not even hit the target with the first half of the box, I didn't see a whole lot of reason to spend a load of cash on them!

eventually I'd like to work up a hot load with the Nosler 260gr BT Solic Base or if possible a Boat-tail of some sorts... for the most part I'm not really worried about bullet weight at this stage seeing as a Moose is the biggest thing on the short-term menu. I'd like to flatten out the trajectory a bit, and as long as I'm shooting it at mid+ sized game (white-tail on up) it can be zeroed at 275 or 300... with a BC over .470, that is.

right now I'm staring at one of the RNs set up on my desk... right next to a 25-06 Hornady LM... and yeah, advil BEFORE I shoot...
