Depends on what you plan on doing with it... I have never shot at anything that could eat me so I never "needed" that second shot, but I can't think of too many negatives. They could be too light and therefore tough to shoot well offhand, although with a bit of practice that should be less of an issue. They may be less accurate due to the two piece stock, but I doubt that your main quarry will be woodchucks. (although I did take one with my #1 in .375H&H) The scope is mounted on the barrel which is a good thing as is the usual tang safety. If you practice often and get used to reloading, it won't leave you with too many reasons not to go that route. If a set trigger is an option, get one. Cheers. Tom |
