I've fixed the ring problem. I had my local gunshop drill and tap a set of Weaver bases into the existing bases. He said he epoxied them also. They are aluminum so they will save some weight. This way I can use Weaver rings for any scope I want.

I have a silver Tasco that I have been saving for a special application and this is the scope I will start with. It is a 6x16 so I can use it as binoculars also.

Can't wait to go to the Vintagers with this set up next year.
