I have used my wifes drilling 12x12x30-06 Sauer with 4x Kahles scope in claw mounts a fair amount.
Sometimes she "loaned" it to me, [sometimes I "snuck" it out].
I found it the be a most excellent hunting gun.

I finally found me one just like hers. I had JJ of Champlin Arms fit a 1.1-4 S&B scope with illuminated reticle in claw mounts.

A Verling, just more icing on then cake.
What a great hunting rifle this would be.
