Re: Engraving ideas for a singleshot project

I'd say a one year delivery time is ambitious at best. They didn't give me a time frame, but Hagn did say it would be a while. I told him it didn't matter to me, if they needed a couple of years. He said, "Ya, dats gudt".

I'm going to talk with them again, as soon as they confirm my deposit. I think Hagn is in Namibia right now trying out his new 450-400! I'll let them know that we've talked and to put yours in front of mine, no matter when the deposits received. I'd be real skeptical if they can push one out the door in a year though... Sounds like they have a bunch ahead of us.

Think I'm going to add an extended tang to mine just to make it stronger for baggage handling gorillas that work for the airlines these days. I've seen pictures of a few broken stocked rifles that occured while traveling. All seemed to be broken at the wrist, probably from a real hard vertical drop. I think an extended tang would help to reinforce that area and make the wrist not so susceptible to breakage from that kind of thing.

I would like to have this one ready when I book the MP sheep hunt, but it won't hurt my feelings if it isn't ready then. I just want this rifle to be RIGHT, perfectly so. I've spent too many years trying to figure this one out and want them to take whatever time they need to make it a svelte, graceful, beautiful mountain stalking sheep hunting rifle. Is that too much to ask?
