Mike Venturino took one to RSA (I think) and hunted plainsgame with it. The story was published in Rifle or one of the Wolfe Publishing magazines years ago. Might be able to find it on their CD collection or I think it is "Big Bore Rifles and Cartridges" book they published.

I'd think it to be folly to use a singleshot on dangerous game.
