This double has been a project for a year or so. I think that this level of regulation in a cape gun is more than I could have hoped for. I had the rifle shooting well but 5/8oz 16ga rem slugs were consistantly shooting to the right by 6" at 50 yards. I switched to Breneke 2 3/4, 1oz and got the above results. The shotgun has short chambers. The rifle stringing was me (It was um,cold.) ![]() The 8x58r Sauer barrel shoots to the top of the bead at 50 yards and the shotgun shoots to the center at that range. Considering that when I bought it, the rifle wouldn't shoot into 6" at 25yds I'm pretty happy. It's from 1911. I wonder if it was actually regulated with the same slugs? Cheers Tom |
