I don't know for sure what you intend the #1 for, but for anything in Canada, I sure like the .405, having used it on both moose and bear. to me it'll do anything as fine as my #1 in .375, and shoots just as fine, under an inch. The word is out that Ruger finally is going to start making the #1's in my favorite of all, the 9.3X741 ......get you order in now! I have three doubles in 9.3X74, plus a Farquharson, and my order's in for one of the first #1's. ......believe me, this will be a fine combination of rifle and caliber. For most dangerous game it's not a double, but a wristband with spare ammo makes it a fast shooter with a bit of practice...... you'll not regret a medium bore #1! ~Arctic~
