I'd use only .45 Long Colt lead bullets only as well.

The advantage is if onecends up with a .45 LC 1873 revolver, a 1873 Winchester .45vLC lever action, one can use the same ammo. And a 12-bote shotgun insert, as is on another thread post, Not a .45vLC but the ACP cartridge. I'm sure the LC exists.

If accuracy isn't great, at least you can make the M-HBgo bang.

A .45/70 adapter could also be purchased in .45 LC.

If you need to reload .45 KC with .468 projectiles, one might as well reload real .577/450 cartridges,
