It makes me wonder how this marvellous old rifle was so abused, cracked stock, bent/danged tangs & underlever, let alone a busted firing pin & a bubba ejector spring strong enough to fit under a car!
You hope that any of the deliver services involved didn't contribute to the external damage, but its obvious that some previous owner or hack certainly didn't do it justice & near destroyed this piece of history!
Thanks to you mate you have restored this wonderful old girl (amongst others) back to her former glory!
Makes it all worthwhile when the buck is on the ground & it was certainly a good one indeed!
