I had a set of Tikka barrels re-chambered from 30-06 to 30 Super FM and had Talley spec bases milled on top. It was a GREAT set up...so I sold it...
At the outrageous price for a Tikka scope mount, you can get Talley type bases installed and a set of rings. They can keep the Valmet/Tikka mount-osaurous, IMO. The Talley set up is much lighter, and all you need for a second scope is another set of rings.
While looking for stuff on old threads, found this. A good idea well worth examining. I'd forgotten about it.
Valmet/Tikka mounts are now only on the second hand market. I believe Recknangel makes a mount.
Neither of these are "quick detachable". They are detachable but a screw knob may take a coin or screwdriver to turn. Not QD. One can't really quickly put on and off a scope to shoot a shotgun or the rifle barrel.
Talley bases killed and Talley rings might be a great option.
