I don't remember your load, if I ever knew what it was but, my 45-90 with 80 grs. of black and a 480 gr. bullet cast 25-1 is pure "D" death on about anything.
How do you like the scope on your double? I have the claw mount rings for two of my doubles, one an O/U Merkel and the other a Vierordt SXS. I can't get used to the idea of using a scope on either. I just don't like them.
