As far as the 6.5x57R being a good all-round ctg. it can certainly do the job, however, I can not call it the ultimate.

I used to read Barnsness and Seyfreid, but actually liked Brian Pierce's articles same or better, usually. Much depended on the topic, of course.
It was Ross who got me testing .44 Mag. pressure loads in my .45 Colt model 94 Trapper. Worked a peach on elk with 320gr. bullets @ 1,584fps.(Win. BP .45/90 Ballistics+)
