American Mini Buffalo Rifles

Where the British excelled in the design and development of the Rook and Rabbit rifle, the Americans didn’t really have much of comparable offering.
Of course, Stevens, Winchester and most every American manufacturer did sell simple small rifles for plinking and small game hunting but rarely did they mimic the design of the larger caliber rifles as the quality British rifles did - the Fraser, George Gibbs, Alexander Henry, and Westley Richards small rifles certainly did.
The Winchester 1885 Low Wall is a bit smaller than the High Wall and there were small Remington rolling block rifles that can indeed be built up into very nice rifles.
I just got a Little Sharps from Chiappa Firearms and I must admit, it’s a pretty darn neat rifle!
This one is chambered in 44/40 which is why I titled this thread Mini Buffalo Rifles.
One in 22mag or 22 Hornet just wouldn’t be right...
Now my Uberti Low Wall in 38/40 has a good companion. The photos show just how small this Little Sharps is!
