At one time, Krieghoff offered an interchangeable rifle barrel arrangement for their combination guns. The rifle barrel was held into the monoblock by a set screw and could easily be taken out much like a full length insert barrel, except there was no shot barrel to insert it in. I carried mine with me on my last trip to Africa. It had rifle barrels in .30-'06 and .222 Remington. The .222 barrel came in handy for the smaller antelopes, such as dik-dik, duiker and klipspringer. I had a separate scope for each barrel. I also had a set of 12 gauge barrels for the same action which came in handy for sand grouse and guinea fowl. I sold it a few years ago when I was divesting myself of firearms I no longer use. The extra barrel is in the plastic container. |
