Shame about the protruding safety on those Rugers though, some report cartridge hangups as case rims catch the front of the safety slide during ejection. Considering most shotguns get it right with their slide safeties/barrel selectors (nice and flush with the top strap) you would think Ruger could have.

Beautiful work on that No 1 but the safety slide gap to the top strap grates on the eye to me. A nice touch would be to recess the safety into the top strap as some customs do?
