congratulations for this splendid rifle.
To me, this is not a rook rifle. it is a proper stalking rifle, with the minimum practical cartridge for roe deer.
The British .360 2 1/4 Express has a continental relative, 9,3x57R/360 - related but not identical. I have an Austrian stalking rifle in this caliber and succeeded in reloading and a bit of hunting too:

Regarding restoration: on these first pictures the rifle looks in pretty good and original condition. I would probably leave it untouched (also would not think of having my rifle restored, probably in similar condition) but that is a personal choice.
