Of course, it will still all be in the shooting. Although I have some ammunition, I have never fired 7.5x55 Swiss but understand that it is somewhere between a .308 and a 30-06 in terms of performance. So that is fine. I am used to shooting light rifles, so I expect the recoil will be familiar and acceptable and hopefully not too much for my scope mount. I am also hoping for reasonably good accuracy. I will not know any of this until I can shoot the rifle and that will have to wait until at least some of the snow melts...it is still about five ft. deep around my house and I think out at the range is probably the same. I lived several decades in B.C. and Alberta and know when spring arrives there, but on the East Coast spring can be elusive, sometimes until mid-May. |
