that is a nice martini Daryl . I done the fitting and the rough work on the top one and had the pros finish the checkering ,but I did most of the metal work and barreling and made the barrels on the 30 carbine and 22-17. As for the 30 carbine , it was supposed to be a 327 fed with a 308 barrel .I could not get it to reliably get it to extract ,the rim on the case is too small for my skill level .Or it would miss the extractor when inserting a fresh cartridge .well then came plan B . Plan B started of by cutting the barrel to accept 32-20 case rim .I have a 30 carbine reamer on hand and dies .recut the chamber slowly to fit 30Car but a bit short to allow the use of 32-20 brass . To form brass just run a sizer ball to straighten case and run through 30 car sizing die and now you have a tapered rimmed case that extracts cheers Peter |
