The case in this instance is a straight taper. I have an M33 chambered in 9.5x47R. That is a bottleneck case. I have just about gat a workable case made from .38-55 swaged down with .357 sizing die. Still needs to be fireformed, as it still has a fat, squat bottom. Had to trim to about 1.85" and reduce diameter of rim. Rim is still too thick to chamber, so have been filing away at it. If I can find a local gunsmith to open up the rim pocket of chamber to take stock .38-55, then I am in business. Cheaper than a rull reaming out and even then, the bullet is smaller than a .38-55. |
