As the ad said, it is not a full size, original. It is a "miniature Farquharson in .280 Remington." These reproductions, using modern steel and built to a very high order, came out of the UK in the late 80s-early 90s. I saw an ad recently for these actions in parts to be built. I don't know if Clayton Nelson (primarily a stock maker) assembled the action himself on this gun or simply did the would, case coloring, etc. Otherwise, seems like a real beauty in a very usable caliber, unlike most of the originals which can be shot only from time to time due to ammo costs and recoil issues -- unless you are planning in the ultimate in rodent control. (Aim between the eyes, I hear those groundhogs charge if wounded.) Dave
