Although there are some stags shown (quite decent ones) I'm actually not a trophy hunter. Most of the deer I shoot are hinds/doe's and with my friends, we share a fair sized piece of land to 'manage' deer on. In addition, for the last twelve years or so though, we buy a week in Scotland on commercial estates at the end of November/early December shooting hinds.
It gets pretty cold and snowy in the hills at that time of year, but is magnificent sport.
