I think your idea of the single shot falling block rifle fits in nicely with, what I consider to be the best made, and best looking falling block rifles, that is, those made by George Gibbs. The ones I have seen by him were very nicely presented, and in "stalking" calibers, as opposed to heavy knock down calibers, the G,Gibbs rifles were of course made by Gibbs... I think the G,Gibbs Farquharson was by far the best... Get one,they are very nice!
