Here's a couple of "Before" photos, after being restocked by Fajan to duplicate the original oil soaked stock:
I found this rifle in the vault of Kenya Bunduki, a gun store in Nairobi, Kenya, in 1972. It was fitted with a 450/400 barrel devoid of any maker's name and was in deplorable condition. Once I got it home, I had it restocked and rebarreled to .50 Alaskan, since its parent case, .348 Winchester, was the largest Boxer primed rimmed case which was then easily available. The .510" caliber barrel was from John Buhmiller. the famous barrel maker, gunsmith, cartridge developer and African hunter. It stayed in that shape until a couple of years ago, when I turned it over to Steve to work his magic on it.
