Can anyone tell me for sure, if either of the two types of British single shot falling block rifles, the original hammer Alex. Henry type, or the later John Farquharson hammerless type, were made in different, scaled sizes for different calibers, or were they made only in one size? Authorities have said that the original Farquharson actions were strong enough for many modern nitro cartridges, but can the same thing be said about the original Alex. Henry outside hammer action? |
