Yes - appears to be a converted caplock, probably during the 1867 Government contract, wherein the .52 percussion guns were shipped back to Sharps and were converted to CF for the new .50/70 government ctg.
Most or all conversions left the priming devices on the lock plates.
The conversion .50/70 Carbine barrel I have is stamped 1859.
